Exploring Treatment - Resistant Depression and Seasonal Affective Disorder

Join Dr. Dean MacKinnon, a psychiatrist from the Johns Hopkins Mood Disorders Center, for a discussion about the basics of treatment-resistant depression and Seasonal Affective Disorder.  Dr. MacKinnon will discuss the common obstacles to improvement and the importance of appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans for these issues.

Dr. MacKinnon has been studying treatment-resistant mood disorders for twenty years and is considered an expert on the topic.  He recently published a book titled Still Down: What to Do When Antidepressants Fail, that explores his professional experiences with nine patients.  Still Down has been called informative for patients and psychiatry professionals alike.
